SWDTP Student Conference 2019
Effective and Innovative Communication of your Research
Wednesday 13th November 2019
University of Exeter, St Luke’s Campus
Dear Students,
The SWDTP Conference Committee is meeting regularly to organise this years conference. We will be holding workshops as well as paper sessions throughout the day. Those who attend have the opportunity to take part in workshops of their choice. Some of these workshops include communicating research effective with Parliament and media and a workshop titled ‘What I Wish I’d Known Then’, plus a few more that we are waiting confirmation on.
We have now also confirmed two keynote speakers at the open and close of conference who are both well known for their excellent way of communication. The committee have worked very hard and are very pleased with who we have managed to get and we are sure everyone else will be too. More information on this to come.
Dont forget the call for papers is now live and you can submit your abstract (up to 400 words) via the Eventbrite website. The call for papers will close strictly on 16th September 2019, so please give yourself plenty of time to get this done. We have already started to receive some great abstracts and poster submissions. Please click below to go to the SWDTP Conference Eventbrite Page
Delegates registration is now open, click on the link above. Your supervisor(s) can register on 23rd September 2019.
If you are planning to come to the conference the committee is advocating that all delegates (if possible) take advantage of the GWR offer of 50% off travel for the day, kindly given to us by Great Western Railway. You can do this by clicking here.
We will of course keep you updated. If you’ve taken some time out enjoy your rest and if you’re still studying, take it easy.
All the Best
Warren
