SWDTP Summer School 2026: Getting it done… navigating the future…adding value (including to you)
Bailbrook House Hotel, Bath
Tuesday 16th June (4pm) until Thursday 18th June (4.30pm)
SWDTP Funded Students Only
The late stages of a PhD can be a time of mixed emotions- excitement, pressure, relief. As you approach the end of your studies, you’re probably thinking about what’s next, and how you navigate life post-PhD, especially in complex and changing landscapes. Whether you want to stay in academia, move into industry or if you have no idea about your future career, this Summer School could help you to take the time you need to write, consolidate, and make decisions.
During the two days, you’ll experiment with different writing tips and habits suggested by our academic community; reflect on how you frame the skills and experiences of your PhD and connect with other researchers who are also writing up, reaching out and moving on.
Ideal for: researchers in their final or writing up year, who intend to complete their studies in the next twelve months.
