Governance roles

SWDTP Management Board (MB)

The Management Board provides strategic oversight for the SWDTP. The membership of the board comprises senior academics of the partner institutions and an external member.

SWDTP Academic Advisory Board (AAB)

The Academic Advisory Board has overall responsibility for managing educational and operational aspects of the SWDTP.

Operational roles

Institutional Academic Leads (IALs)

SWDTP Institutional Academic Leads act as the lead for their home institutions for all academic matters related to the business of SWDTP, primarily in contact with the assigned Pathway Leads but also reaching out to supervisors.

Pathway Leads (PLs)

There is a Pathway Lead for each SWDTP study pathway and at each institution where that pathway is delivered. Pathway Leads are central to SWDTP’s mission to offer an inclusive, and collaborative environment for PGR funding, support, and training; and to promote, share, and deliver best practice across our partner institutions and wider networks.

Institutional Coordinators Group (ICG)

Institutional Coordinators are professional services staff based at our partner institutions who deliver local processes that underpin the smooth running of the SWDTP.
