Nordic Walking Session & Lunch

A fun and friendly Nordic walking session showing how you can strengthen your body, improve your posture and walk faster with Nordic walking, led by PhD student and qualified instructor, Geors Richards. Nordic walking uses two lightweight poles to turn your walk into a whole- body activity. You will be taught the basic technique and then enjoy a walk around the beautiful countryside followed by lunch with other doctoral students and the opportunity to discuss research placements and impact.
What you will need:
• Comfortable layered clothing and a jacket in case of wet weather
• Flexible soled shoes, walking shoes or trainers, ideally water resistant in case the ground is wet.
• Any medication you need.
