The study examines UK government uses of evidence in national-level policy. The study collects ethnographic data on how evidence is used throughout policy subsystems, and across technocratic processes. The study seeks to empirically test if the turn to evidence-based policy has successfully dispersed and embedded evidence, as a scientific and politically neutral commodity, into UK policy.
