Divergent Thinking is a small UK social enterprise helping organisations make workplaces more neuroinclusive through research, policy and environment audits, training and practical resources. We reinvest part of our revenue in community activities and operate as a limited company.
We welcome a PhD researcher to shape a useful project around their skills and development goals. Possible projects include researching a practical manager’s guide, analysing public or synthetic data, or reviewing workshop resources against current evidence. Neurodiversity expertise is welcome but not essential; strong research, critical appraisal and clear communication skills are valuable.
The placement offers regular supervision and opportunities to shadow client meetings and attend suitable training or events. Day-to-day work is remote, with invitations to occasional in-person activities, often in London. Any travel would be agreed in advance through SWDTP.
This is a rolling opportunity with no fixed start date. Full-time or part-time arrangements can be discussed, including three months full-time equivalent over six months. Scope, outputs, dates and supervision will be agreed with the student, subject to SWDTP approval and the placement agreement.
